In order to attract active duty service members and enhance attraction to the Sea 'N Air Golf Course, we have formed an ad hoc Match Play Competition Committee to assist the Pro Shop in organizing and managing a base-wide Match Play
series. Below are the details of this year's competition.
Date:
The Individual Match Play Championship will begin Wednesday, 24 April 2019 and be played in conjunction with normal weekly play.
This year's tournament will be double elimination.
Each round must be played within a two week window with the eventual champion being crowned two or three months down the line, depending on total number of participants.
Entry Fee:
The entry fee is $20 per player, payouts will be determined by the total number of participants.
Sign-up Deadline:
Let Ed Hebert know by email (heberted@aol.com) or text (619.922.4808) if you want to participate not later than Sunday, April 21st. Pay your tournament fee of $20 on the 26th at check-in, or send him a check payable to Ed Hebert, 22 South Cays Court, Coronado, CA 92118.
You do not have to be present on the 24th to participate.
Qualification Requirements:
Active duty militay, DoD civilians, retired military and guests are invited.
To qualify, entrants must have a verifiable handicap index published by a golf handicap computation service such
as GHIN. Entrants must have a minimum of twenty (20) rounds posted by such service during the twelve month
period prior to the sign-up deadline.

Individual NET Match Play

All rounds to be played at Sea 'N Air using the white tee positions.

We are planning on a 32 player field, but if we get a better turnout, we will grow it to 64 players.

Two brackets. Three winners: Grand Champion, East Bracket winner and West Bracket winner.

First round matches determined by blind draw.

Winnings to be determined by total entries.

100% payback to the the field.

GHIN handicap for 15 Apr used for first match.

Handicaps will be recalculated for each match after a GHIN Index change.

Players will post their own scores after each round.

USGA rules apply except local rule applications.
